Why is the end baffling. This is how all double elimination tournaments work. Since BG has already lost once and Ohio has failed to lose BG must beat OU twice. If two teams were to meet with ZERO losses you could possibly have 3 games played for a Championship.

It's actually not as baffling in reality as it looks on paper. In short, if one (or both) of the two undefeated teams starting tomorrow loses, they would would have to turn right around and play against the team that beat them. For example, if BG beats OU tomorrow morning, BG and OU will have to turn around and play again. However, if one of undefeated teams wins and the other loses, the undefeated team goes to the title game while the other plays again (this is what happened in 2013 when BG won the title. Ball State was undefeated in the title game while BG came in with a loss). And obviously, if the two undefeated teams both win, they go straight to the title game.

Bowling Green got an unbelievable performance on the mound by redshirt sophomore Andrew Lacinak. The left-handed pitcher from Reading, Ohio, tossed his second career complete-game to earn the win over the Broncos, who defeated BGSU to knock them out of the 2014 MAC Tournament. Lacinak struck out a career-high eight batters and retired the final 23 batters he faced, after WMU got three unearned runs with one out in the second.

23 straight!!!! What a performance

BG trailing Ohio 2-0 in the 3rd

It's ok. I predicted a 4-2 BG win. Have them right where we want them.

3-0 Ohio now through three innings (could have been even more as OU had bases loaded and one out after BG's pitching change) and the Bobcats already chased Blaylock from the game (this is where their edge in pitching has already come into play). OU with 3 runs on 7 hits and BG with goose eggs across the board. Better get something going and soon.

6-0 after Longo just took us yard. OU's pitcher still flirting with a no-no. BG looks like toast.

OU is playing lights out right now. For sure they're the team to beat for the title now. They came into the tournament having swept their last few MAC series and are still undefeated in the tournament. They also had a remarkable turnaround from last season to this year with a 20+ game improvement. Think about it, they won 11 games all year last season....11! Then turn around and produce the Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and I'm still scratching my head how they didn't get Coach of the Year (should have). Look how much better they've gotten even since we played them down in Athens when we won 2 of 3 (should have swept them). They've certainly taken it to us in the MAC Tournament though.

BG still without a run or hit through seven....OU has tagged us for 6 runs on 12 hits. Get a damn hit at least guys, don't let them thrown a no-hitter against you.
