2005 FMB Show Ideas

Post by bgmaggot00 »

So, as football fans, you guys are "forced" to watch the FMB on a near-weekly basis. What types of shows would you guys be interested in hearing during next year's season?

Well, I typically use halftime to Pee and get something to drink. However I would like to request that the marching band stay away from covering any rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I think that the FMB could cover various musicals and it would sound good.

Why do we need two threads of the same thing when we were asked not to get ideas from other people anyway, but rather use OUR OWN???

Because us non-band people, stay away from the band threads, and he thought that he would reach out to the people you were playing for at the games to test our interests. I think he was just being a concerned citizen and looking for additional information. I am sure I didn't help him cheat, and he won't use my answer for his assignment.

Then why be concerned with the thoughts of a group of people who use half time as a snack and bathroom break? The Falcon Marching Band should be held to the standards and wants of no one else but themselves because at the end of the day they are the ones that must look in the mirror and say, "That was a show that was performed as well as we could perform it."

Erica, its because I knew that there were probably a good chunk of football fans that never venture over to the Band Forum. I figured I'd poll the electorate, if you will. Sound Familiar? Yeah. Anyway, I'm not in the band anymore; this isn't my "assignment," so at this point, I'm just curious to see what you guys/gals would want to see/hear. Thanks, Jeff

I was always curious why the Band went from a Marching Band to the Durm & Bugle Core 'look' (uniforms, style, drum majors, etc).

I wish they would be a Marching Band.

Other schools kept that style (UofM, osu, ND, etc) and to me, that is what to watch at a Football Game.

If I want to see competitive Drum and Bugle groups, I would go to those competitve deals they have.

Please go back to be a Marching Band.

Just mix up the music to cover everyones interests. That is who the audience is - true?

Really it's because the old uniforms sucked and every set of pants had a giant hole in the crotch. The look we have now is more modern...give it another few decades and they will have new ones again because of the same problem!
