More trouble...

Post by jpfalcon09 »

There are rumblings around town that another BGSU athlete was involved in a bar fight recently, some speculation it's Bryan Thomas. Sounds like the university will be releasing a statement today.

According to John Wagner's twitter feed Thomas was charged with felonious assault over the weekend.

Just saw it. Being held on $50,000 bond and has been suspended. Another feather in the cap of a rather rotten offseason.

Ronnie Moore's father was also killed this weekend in Florida, so it's been a rough few days for the program.

Be interested in getting the facts...Boo Boo Gates was charged with drug trafficking for "selling" a guy $30 worth of weed. I'm not saying that prosecutors overreach all the time, but they do it enough that I've learned to withhold judgement until I know the facts.

Prayers and condolences to Ronnie Moore and his family.

Flip, I can't get into details, but I can guarantee you what happened at the minimum constitutes aggravated assault if it's not felonious assault, unfortunately.

A tweet from Thomas Schmeltz with the Sentinel-Tribune says the bouncer suffered a broken eye socket.

If this is true -- then he's done. And rightfully so.

So we had a bad defense last year, especially early and late in the season. We lost like what, 6 or 7 seniors off that defense to graduation/eligibility exhausted? Additionally, we now have lost 2 returning starters to stupidity that were arguably our best defensive players...Bryan Thomas and Nick Johnson. Hope some of the freshman can play immediately?

Enjoying my vacation and decide to jump on here and see if anything new is being discussed and see this....WTH man.......If our defense "hit" as well on the field as the guys do off of it, we'd have the best D in the MAC again. SMH. So disappointing on many levels. First Johnson, now Thomas after being awarded an additional year??? Two All-MAC perfomers on a D already stretched extremely thin as it is and both likely gone over this kind of crap??

My heart goes out to Ronnie Moore. I love watching that kid play and I am saddened to hear of the passing of his father. Not a good day of BG football news at all.
