Very, very, very, very weird...
I was just listening to the Coaches Show on 107.7, and Pooch pointed out that we got called for penalties at 4:14 in the 3rd period BOTH Friday and Saturday night! Given how very creepily similar those two games were, how friggin' weird is that?!?!

Just the basics of it... OSU got a PP goal in the first couple minutes of each game, led 2-0 after the first period of each, went up 3-0 in the second, BG made it 3-1 after two (Saturday's first goal was in the second, right?), then pulled to within 3-2 in the third, losing both by identical scores.graceful wrote:wow... someone (with more knowledge, access, and free time then me) please list all the similarities... i'm EXTREMELY amused by how the games were so much the same!!!!!!

If I'm not mistaken, the two Blackeyes goals in the first period both Friday and Saturday night were PP goals, as well. Their third in the second both nights were even-strength.
Matsumoto scored a goal in each game, as well. He really played his ass off. One difference - he got an assist on Saturday, giving him 3 pts. for the weekend.

Lincoln's secretary (named Kennedy) warned him not to go to Ford's Theater that night in 1865...Kennedy's secretary (named Lincoln) warned him not to ride in an open car in Dallas...OOPS, this should go in a differant 'creepy similarities' post.
The games were freakishly similar. We kept changing our seats Saturday night, hoping to disrupt the cosmic trend.

I had forgotten about that. There are more similarities to it as well; I'll have to look them up.Freddie wrote:Lincoln's secretary (named Kennedy) warned him not to go to Ford's Theater that night in 1865...Kennedy's secretary (named Lincoln) warned him not to ride in an open car in Dallas...OOPS, this should go in a differant 'creepy similarities' post.

We had a 5 on 3 at the end of the second both nights. The ticky tack penalty to start the game. Same scoring pattern.. OSU 2-0 after 1, OSU 3-1 after 2, 3-2 final. We noticed the 4:14 penalty during the game on the second night actually. Shegos sucked both nights. OSU fans sucked both nights.
I don't know the rest. When we got the 5 on 3 in the second I was ready to leave before it even started b/c I knew what the outcome would be. I was right too
