Of course, the average fan isn't privy to information recruiters might have regarding potential character issues with players they're pursuing -- but it makes you wonder if there were any red flags with the guys who ended up getting dismissed.

I have no idea if Clawson and/or Babers are the types of coaches who will take risks on players (academically and character-wise), or who look for solid citizens as much as talent.

My point isn't to criticize or blame any of the coaches; I'm honestly curious about how much risk some coaches are willing to take.
