Game Thread: Tennessee

Little less than two hours to kickoff! Let's get this season started!

Couple of game day notes:

Ronnie Moore is sitting out the first half for his carry over suspension from the Camellia Bowl.

Expect Fred Coppet to get more touches today as the heat will keep rotations quick.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Before this gets going, will someone explain why this game is being played in Nashville and not at Neyland in Knoxville? :smt017 If it was already posted, I apologize, as I never saw it. :?

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Fanatic. I believe it is because Tennessee lost a game when it's previous opponent dropped football from its program. BG stepped in to play Tennessee but since we also lost a home game I believe both schools agreed to play at a neutral site. Granted it's still a home field advantage for Tennessee but it's not on their campus.

#BGSU football: #Falcons DT Gus Schwieterman did not make trip because of a foot injury. I am told it could be season-ending.

No Herve Colbe....people were expecting big things. Ronnie Moore suspended for first half. Depth could be an issue in 95 degree weather.

Farinella also out.

Lightening at the stadium. Our game may start off delayed. Great.

Would been nice to get a TD but I will take points anytime you can get them. Nice start for Tate

Rough start for the D. Can't be giving them first downs with penalties.

Then again, that was pretty easy for Tenn.

Not good news at all, especially on that side of the ball.

That's a pretty weak personal foul.

We're already in the danger zone of getting destroyed in this game and we're not even out of the first quarter yet. We looked very overmatched. Offense looks out of tune, defense looks very porous (again) and WAY TOO MANY penalties already!

Men vs Boys.

Quick 3 and outs, bad penalties, poor defense. Dino's system really taking hold.

And our kick coverage is non existence. Got lucky on the non fumble for a TD but they still start from the 20 after the punt return
