Game Thread: Tennessee
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
Do I want the penalty? No. However, I kinda like the coach getting in the refs face after blown calls like that. He's only doing what I wish I could do.
IMO, the conference commissioners should send the message that there will be no place for refs who can't take getting their butt chewed out for not doing their job.

We have a s**t ton of talent at WR.....the MAC is weak defensively. MJ could beat the single season passing mark by week 10....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
We have absolutely shredded the UT secondary. And not piddly crap either. We're beating them over the top consistently. And don't think that they're "giving us that" either. No team is going to give you over the top bombs...especially not when you have proven you can hit them.Flipper wrote:We have a s**t ton of talent at WR.....the MAC is weak defensively. This WR corps flat out owns the UT DBs, and I cannot see how any MAC defensive backfield would get anything less than this same treatment. Never know about the defense, and I am worried about Greene's injury as well, but this passing game is going to put up video game numbers against the MAC.
I'm thinking heisman candidate numbers for Johnson. He won't get consideration unless we find a way to win this game and about 10-11 more, but the numbers will be there if they all stay healthy.
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
Hello, from Nashville. Just wanted to comment that UT pulled our left guard out to his left to clear space for the guy who blocked the FG. That is an illegal play. The penalty on Babers was not a factor in the blocked kick.

Random thoughts:
They just mentioned the game would resume at 8pm, hopefully they will continue to televise it and not cut over to the Florida game which is scheduled at 8pm on the same channel.
They mentioned earlier we were getting 1.2 million for this one. Nice chunk of change.
Lunsford is wearing Schwieterman's number. He had #50 last year. He had #11 in the spring. He had #47 in fall practice and now #63. Teo Redding switched from 19 to 9.

Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
If the ref was cussing out our coach after throwing the flag, that tells me this may not have all been on Babers; the ref may have a bad attitude. Plus, it was pretty obviously a blown call. Yes, this probably cost us three points. But it's quite possible the ref overreacted in throwing that flag. Wasn't the Tennessee coach jawing at him, too?mmisbg wrote:Do I want the penalty? Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
BG game is now off the air. And the alternate channel is another game. Only way you can watch the game is on WatchEspn on the SEC Network. This sucks.
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
This blows. I have a feeling that most of us won't get to watch the finish of what was shaping up to be an awesome game.
LSU and UF are both bigger TV draws than UT is, I'm afraid. Ugh. Musberger is doing the UF game, so I know we won't get on there, hopefully they'll put our game back on the Alternate channel since LSU is playing McNeese St...

BG just tweeted this out from SEC Network
@SECNetwork: Programming Update:
Florida will kickoff on SEC Network.
LSU will kickoff on SEC Network ALT.
Tennessee will return, time & channel TBD.

Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
And sad to say, WatchEspn only has 2 SEC Network channels, same as on tv. This game is not on ESPN3. It's on SEC Network and 2 other games on, so we will not be able to see the rest of the game.
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
No other channels to put game on. SEC only has 2 alternate channel. Probably show the rest of the game tape delay.
Re: Game Thread: Tennessee
Well the LSU game is now delayed. Lol

It might be on ESPNews....
