Game Thread: Maryland
Weather looks wet at kickoff with showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Any rain will benefit Maryland as they'll likely keep the ball on the ground and the wet turf may slow down the Falcons.

BGSU Rollin On You Again!
Re: Game Thread: Maryland
No big deal. Get the win Falcons!
Re: Game Thread: Maryland
Looks like the second half will certainly be affected by weather. And speaking of which, poor weather could also be the case for the home opener next week as the forecast calls for a beautiful week in BG Monday - Friday but Saturday storms. First thing is first though.
GO BG!!!
Re: Game Thread: Maryland
Just dropping by to tell you guys good luck and hope you enjoy the game today. We have a tough one at 6, but I will be watching BG. I have spent the week telling my friends that I think BG will handle Maryland and it may not even be close. If your passing game kicks in, Maryland will need to score often and I am not sure they have that kind of offense. GO FALCONS!!!!

Defense settled down on that first drive after giving up some big plays.

Another special teams blunder...

Special special teams
Re: Game Thread: Maryland
Two long drives deep and not a point to show for it. We can't keep squandering opportunities like this.
GO BG!!!
Re: Game Thread: Maryland
Why are we punting to a damn machine. We might as well go for it every drive with STs like this.

Can Davidson not directional punt?

Worst special teams coaching by a college team I've seen -- EVER. Why would you kick to a guy who has shredded teams on punt returns, when you have a perfect angle to simply kick out of bounds.BGSU33 wrote:Worst coverage teams I have ever seen at BG. Ever.
Worst.
Coaching.
Ever.

Re: Game Thread: Maryland
The year Brandon had Nate Fry rugby kick on every punt we were a top five team in net punting. We need to try that...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
