BG/Memphis streams while these game are on actual TV...

Post by mscarn »

Benedictine at Mid America Nazarene
Edinboro at East Stroudsburg
College of Faith at Valpairaiso
Montana at Liberty
Mercyhurst at Bloomsburg
Yale at Colgate
Delaware at Villanova
Drake at South Dakota
Maine at Tulane
St. Francis at Youngstown State
McNeese State at Stephen F. Austin State

The American Network (whatever that is) is showing Northwestern/Duke during the time the BG is supposed to be on. The above games are all airing on the ESPN College Extra TV package. This does not include the games shown on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNU, the SEC Network, the Big 10 Network, the Pac-12 Network, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Fox Sports Regional Networks, the NBC Sports Network or the CBS Sports Network.

How can there be all these options and BG doesn't fit into any of them? The MAC TV deal is a disgrace unbefitting this institution or any institution in the conference for that matter.

The MAC TV deal is awful. Our coverage is almost nil unless we are playing on Tuesday nights.

It's light year's better than what it was 12 years ago when even our game against a ranked Purdue team wasn't on TV or streaming, but it is still an awful deal.

The game will be shown free over the air for those with a digital receiver and also through Buckeye and perhaps TWC. Doesn't appear that any channel through satellite (DTV/Dish) will be picking up the game.

Borrow a cable login from a friend or family member

Buy a Roku or Chromecast ($30-40)

Download the WatchEPSN app

Boom, all ESPN and ESPN3 broadcasts on your TV.

It is a beautiful thing. No worries about TV broadcasts.

I have watched pretty much every BG game this way.

The Roku even has a Big10 network app for the 2 B10 games.

Indeed, there are numerous devices out there to stream things through. The only issue with online streams is the inevitable delay that you wouldn't get with live TV. Makes it tough to watch the game and interact through the board/Twitter since things usually get spoiled.

From my experience it is usually 1-2 minutes behind. I don' t think that is a dealbreaker.

And yes, devices all over the place. I listed a few of the cheeper options.
