I'm not sure why he would regret it. Even if this season ends 1-11 (which seems probable), he will have a 4th year. The man is making 2 million dollars a year for being the worst coach in Purdue history and quite possibly in Big 10 history. We are talking historically bad.

If he fails here, he will get a gig somewhere. Maybe not a head coach, but a job nonetheless. Seems like he turned one special season at Kent State into a nice nest egg. Smart move in my opinion.

I do, just letting my frustration get in the way. I'll stick to replies only about the game. Sorry about that.

Guys like Hazell and Beckman are good examples of guys who recognize the opportunity to cash in. Obviously had he stayed at Kent State he likely wouldn't have enjoyed much continued success, but it can be argued he had a flash in the pan type season in 2012 thanks in large part to Dri Archer. To me, he was a risky hire for the simple fact he didn't prove outside of one season that he could sustain success.

Got thrown out of Kroger's because he would bother women at the check out lines. If he saw one buying Nutella he would point at his crotch and say "these Hazell nuts are sweeter"....
