Purdue preview

Post by jpfalcon09 »

Record: 1-2 (0-0 B1G)

Results:
Marshall L 41-31
Indiana State W 38-14
Virginia Tech L 51-24

Team Leaders:
Austin Appleby QB 60-110, 669 yards, 5 TD, 6 INT
Markell Jones RB 32 carries, 229 yards, 3 TD
D.J. Knox RB 46 carries, 202 yards, 1 TD
DeAngelo Yancey WR 9 rec, 170 yards, 1 TD
Cameron Posey WR 7 rec, 119 yards, 1 TD

Interesting game here as Purdue certainly looks to be in another down year under former Kent State coach Darrell Hazell. Many in the Purdue community seem to be fed up with the lack of progress and poor results in the last few seasons under Hazell's tenure.

Against recent MAC opponents, they are 1-2 the pas two years, having defeated Western Michigan in 2014 and losing to NIU in 2013 and Central Michigan in 2014.

They will definitely create some match up problems for the defense but this is a game that has to be won. This is probably the easiest game of the first 4. Would also make us 3-1 on out last 4 games against the Big Ten.

Not to steal your thunder, but I will be putting up an advanced Purdue preview like I did for most games last year. It will be going up later tonight, hopefully.
