Matt Johnson, POTW Again

Matt Johnson was the MAC Player of the Week for the 5th time out of 7 weeks this year (Believe Lewis won the award the other 2 weeks).

Also,

This week Johnson also was named as a Manning Award star of the week. The Manning Award is given annually by the Sugar Bowl committee to the top quarterback in the country and is named for Archie Manning and his sons, Peyton and Eli.

If (or when) we run the table Matty J should follow Jordan Lynch as the next MAC QB sitting in New York at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. I wonder if the campaign (similar to the one for the new stadium) is in its "quiet" phase waiting to be unleashed.

Lynch was MAC West Off. POW 8 times in 2013.
