BG @ Kent - Game Thread

Post by footballguy51 »

I've always wanted to start this thread but I'm never around to do it. Well, here it goes. Game time in just under 2 hours. I'll be hooking up my laptop to the TV shortly before 1 so I can watch ESPN3 on the TV. So, not much posting on here for me during the game.

For those of you over in Kent, is it still raining over there? Is it supposed to rain all day? It rained out west here this morning but it stopped about an hour ago.

It's my birthday and all I want is a BG victory!!!

And since I'm now 42 it would be nice if we could hang that many on this D.

Cheers!

Radar shows some light rain ending soon. Some scattered stuff through the game. No biggie.

Dietz dressed but Labus warming up with starters at right tackle. This was expected.

Orange, white and brown combo looks good today.

That running into the kicker call seemed a bit ticky-tack. (Do they always call it that tight?)

Glad to be ahead, though.

Kent has run 3 plays and trails by 14. D gets a stop here and it's lights out.

Kent's best offensive player really is their punter. He is great.

And our defense is quietly becoming one of the better in the conference. Helps that the Kent QB freaks out under pressure.

I hope I never take this scoring for granted. This is fun, third or fourth & long and there's a play. Defense is tackling well but we haven't seen many plays yet.

How will we ever cope....

If Kent had any offense, they would be a lot like our 2012 team. But their offense can't move and their defense isn't quite as suffocating. Kent might be a surprise team next year.

And I repeat my statement, our defense is quietly becoming one of the better in the conference.
