I would rather beat Toledo on the 17th. To be honest, given that there is no guarantee on either team for Detroit, I'll take the win in November and end that streak. If we got them again in December, then we'll have the mental edge. "We beat you once, we'll beat you again."

I , under no circumstances EVER, would hope we lose to tsun only to turn around and beat them for the MAC title. I want to beat them, any day, any time in any sport....especially football.

But, we have Ohio next...I can't look ahead nor do I want to. This is way too much fun.

Frankly...I don't care what the rest of the MAC, the blogosphere, the guys hanging around out of front of kroger's (WTF are they doing there?) or pope Francis thinks about MAC football. If they want to circle the wagons in Loserville to pump up the rockets, go right ahead...it really doesn't matter to us. We're playing scorched earth football here and we have all the matches....and a s**t ton of accelerant...if any UT grads are reading this..."accelerants" are things like lighter fluid or gasoline that you put on a fire to make it burn faster
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

No way Pope Francis can be a UT fan, given the church's stance on marital aids.

You can hate me for saying this but I would prefer BG already have the East locked up before the Toledo game. BG loses a close game to Toledo at the Doyt. Toledo wins out and is in the Top 15. BG then crushes the Rockets hope in an ass whipping in Detroit!!!
A BG win over Ohio and the division race is officially over. It's shocking how bad everyone in the east (minus BG) has been the last 3 years.

If Toledo is 9-0 coming to the Doyt and BG is 8-2, a BG win likely puts BG in the top 25 and Toledo just outside of it. Each team wins the following week and it's possibe to have ranked vs ranked in Detroit. BG wins again. That would be a dream season.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see Toledo lose to NIU and Central back to back.
Actually, we can't "officially" clinch the west with a win over Ohio. Someone from among Kent, Akron and Buffalo could run the table the rest of the way and we could lose all three remaining games with WMU, Toledo and Ball State. If that happened, we'd by 5-3 and they would be at 6-2 and win the division.
I would have better odds of winning the 2016 World Series of Poker than all that happening.

My good man Flipper, that is the best analogy I've read or seen yet to describe the way we are playing. Well done, sir.

My 1st reaction is that i dont like to hear Matt Johnson referred to as " the Saviour". Thats WAY over the top...( and another thread made same reference) . Havent read the Hustle article yet, but certainly seems to parallel the NIU hype of 2013 season, perhaps minus the " superstar" QB.
FACE THIS GUYS, (and i dislike TU as much as anyone). They ARE unbeaten so far, and have done with a brand new O line and pretty much without their stud RB.
LET THE HYPE GO ... lets just continue to play as we have ... Things will sort themselves out eventually... And lets worry about Ohio FIRST. The next game on the schedule. :-k

"We" as fans don't need to worry about any opponent, whether it's the next game or the last game. We are not the ones lining up across from someone trying to block or tackle them.

I hope the BG football team is worrying about Ohio. But, there's no need for the fans to focus only on the game at hand each week.

Yes. It's silly. This is a team effort. Look at what Roger Lewis did this weekend. Or Moore. Or Burbrink. Or the offensive line. Or the running backs. Or the defense. Johnson is an important cog in this machine, but everyone has a role to play.

As hyperbolic it is to call him that, it still isn't correct. Matt's surrounded by elite talent which undoubtedly makes his life that much easier. We're extremely lucky and yes spoiled that we get to see this collection of college talent on the field each week.

Many kudos to Dave Clawson for recruiting athletes which were able to adjust to Dino's offense rather flawlessly. Outside of Lewis, these are still all of Clawson's recruits and I hope that doesn't get lost on anyone.

I agree whole heartily. Dino could not have walked into a better situation from a returning talent standpoint.

Clawson always brought in quite a lot of good players. One of the biggest reasons I always found his offenses so frustrating was that I thought we had better talent than what we put up on gamedays.

They're definitely humming in this Babers system though. We have so much WR talent it's not even funny.
