Have to pose the question. We shot ourselves, absolutely, but at this point, are we just avoiding injury since we're MACC bound and throwing in the towel?

I say rematch in the MACC would be perfect. It would motivate me to actually make that game.

HELL NO! BG wants NOTHING to do with UT! 6 in a row to these guys and another domination on our own field in one of the bigger games in years. Give me NIU or WMU, at least we'd stand a shot. It's what happened in 2013. But sadly I think we're gonna see a rematch.

I'm afraid you're correct. Two coaches in a row now going 0-fer in their rival game. That's pathetic. Really pathetic. I want no part of UT in a title game, because just like tonight, they'll pee down their legs and cower in a corner.

This isn't a rivalry anymore then if you all don't want a rematch. What's the point of calling this a rivalry if you cower in fear when you play them?

I saw this same thing happen with Cooper at OSU. It became a foul, moldy infection within the locker room, and it took a very, very good coach to break out of that cycle and turn it around. That's what is going to have to happen at BG before this ends. It won't be Babers, most likely, because I suspect he'll get a better job and bolt. There are a lot of nice jobs open so far, with more to come.

Let's just hope our AD can find that guy to break this curse and get things turned around. I enjoy winning a lot of games, but I'd trade all those wins over Big Ten schools to beat slUT multiple years in a row.

You answered your own question. It can't be a rivalry when you've gone more than half a decade without winning. And it's not fear; it's pragmatism. If you want a REAL chance at winning a MAC title, then you avoid playing a team that has your soul in a bottle and laughs at it each season.
