Just looked at the box score. Looked pretty bad and pretty familiar.

This is gonna be a loooong season.

I shoot 40% from the line and I play in a recreational men's league. These kids are on full ride scholarships and shoot 40%. I guess I should have focused on dribbling the ball in high school.

Another game today at 4pm against Youngstown St on ESPN3. I watched the game yesterday and the shooting is terrible as the stats imply. A lot of good looks but many of the shots are not even close. So far its been pretty sloppy but hopefully that can improve over the course of this year. I would not expect a lot of wins this year.

I dont get why Alcegaire is getting so much PT. He shot better but stats were not great yet again.

Hes shooting 25% from the field. I have seen all the games and he is a black hole on offense and has terrible shot selection. It hurts the rest of the offense from actually running. He may end up great but if you keep letting him do what he is doing how is he going to learn?

I saw the Cincy game and the Exhibition and I was in full on hate mode.

I'll give the kid at least 10-15 games before I completely form an opinion on him, but he's off to a start of falling into Jordon Crawford territory for me.

He looks talented, it's all shot selection IMO. Thats easily fixable with a spot on the bench and telling him he will be there if he doesn't start playing smarter. Not by giving him 39 minutes to throw up 16 shots.

On the positive side....nice bounce back effort. I'm sure Huger was a little worried to see how they might react to a couple of bad losses. Nice to see that they have some character.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Yes, nice to see them bounce back on short rest and get a win. YSU played 3OT the day before but still we took advantage and got a win. I wish I had a way to watch these games...stupid ESPN3...

Do we play again today?

This team is a work in progress, but there are still a lot of things I like. Firstly I freaking LOVE the style of basketball Huger is bringing here. I seriously think (even last year) this might be the first time in 15+ years that I can figure out what we're trying to do on offense. We want to get to the rim, and we're going to attack to do it. I like that. I like it a lot.

Now for that two work we need to A) find some guys that can finish in traffic (Lillard has looked the best in my viewing), and somebody to make some free throws. We also NEEEED some shooters to space the floor and keep the middle from getting too congested. Denny is the only real shooter we have and he's not nearly good/consistent enough to fill that role as much as we need it. Hopefully Huger can find some outside shooters to go with the slashers.

This year is a growing year, but I at least can say I see the vision and believe in it long term.

Shooting was light years better. I hope we are not one of those teams that wins when they make threes and loses when they don't. Have to find lots of ways to win.

These games are not on ESPN3 they are on the FGCU channel. Tonights I think is on 3 unless that is an error.
