Do we play again today?

This team is a work in progress, but there are still a lot of things I like. Firstly I freaking LOVE the style of basketball Huger is bringing here. I seriously think (even last year) this might be the first time in 15+ years that I can figure out what we're trying to do on offense. We want to get to the rim, and we're going to attack to do it. I like that. I like it a lot.

Now for that two work we need to A) find some guys that can finish in traffic (Lillard has looked the best in my viewing), and somebody to make some free throws. We also NEEEED some shooters to space the floor and keep the middle from getting too congested. Denny is the only real shooter we have and he's not nearly good/consistent enough to fill that role as much as we need it. Hopefully Huger can find some outside shooters to go with the slashers.

This year is a growing year, but I at least can say I see the vision and believe in it long term.
These games are not on ESPN3 they are on the FGCU channel. Tonights I think is on 3 unless that is an error.

Antwon Lillard extends the lead to 82-77. Falcons win with a good defensive stop and advance to 3-2. Roll along!

Great tonight. Were not great from 3 but really fought through it with tons of rebounds and second chance points. As HammB says its a really try hard team that attacks the basket

Some notes
The group in for the last 20 points of the game were Ali-Denny-Lillard-Alcegaire-Parker. I doubt we can go that small normally but they were the main guys. We really had mostly a 7 guy rotation with Joseph and Worrell playing key minutes as well. Wiggins, Mayleben and Tisdale played. Alcegaire took two quick shots that were ill advised (including the first of the game) but other than that was ok.

I did the +/- for the game because I think it's a telling stat despite flaws.
Worrell +10
Denny +7
Alcegaire +3
Joseph +3
Parker +2
Ali +2
Mayleben +2
Lillard -1
Tisdale -1
Wiggins -2

Very nice win for the Falcons! I've been to all three games down here and saw two pretty good falcon teams and one awful one. This team has some depth and some talent. I will not be surprised to see them win more than they lose this year. If Spencer Parker shows up to play this team could be very competitive in the MAC. I see no dominant team this year in the MAC. Central Michigan just got beat down the road in another tournament to Weber State. The entire team went up into the crowd to thank them for coming to support them. My three boys have become serious fans. I must admit that's a true way to build support. Thanks guys.

Was able to watch on ESPN3 tonight...good win over FGCU. I'll take 3-2 right now. Just keep improving every game...
