You can delete that. They got completely dominated, at home, with a chance to lock in Detroit.

I agree. We self destructed and gift wrapped that game for them. Granted, they made us pay with our mistakes.

If we have 5 turnovers less than the last time we played Toledo we have a good shot at ending this never ending losing streak against them.

Because tsun cannot beat NIU no matter what....
I can think of another team that can't beat another school no matter what....we're gonna have to do it the hard way in Detroit. We're gonna see Toledo up there.
Perhaps. They still gotta beat WMU and last year beat WMU when the Broncos missed an XP in OT>

True, but as many people like to remind me about on this board - that was last year. I just want to win the MACC so damn bad, but I'm not gonna lie, if we're lining back up against Toledo, there's gonna be a lot of nervous BG fans including myself. And no matter what our players say, you know damn well it's in their heads too.

You know...for being the resident negative Nellie of azz.com I've had good reason to disagree with many of your takes this season. That being said, you are 100% correct on this one. Toledo is already a very, very good team, and the mental edge they have on us is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Our performances against the rest of the MAC and OOC this season has me absolutely convinced that we would beat any other team in the MACC. Literally anybody. But Toledo has shown time and time again that they have our number. Anybody involved with the program, players, coaches, administrators, or fans, who says they aren't nervous going into next week (assuming Toledo beats WMU on Friday) is either a liar or is one of the few people on this earth that have no fear. There really isn't a rational reason I can think of for why BG would beat Toledo in Detroit. A lot of us here are trying to rationalize it by saying we played terribly in the first meeting, and it's true that we did. The real question people should be asking though is, why wouldn't we play that way again in Detroit? Please, somebody, anybody...please explain to me what makes you believe that the 2nd game will go any differently than the 1st.

A lot of people here were saying they wouldn't go to the MACC because a 3rd matchup against NIU doesn't appeal to them. I am the exact opposite. The idea of me surrounded by rocket fans celebrating them humiliating us to not only win the conference but qualify for a New Years Six game...it's got me really thinking about staying home instead.

Needless to say, I'm very, very upset that NIU lost tonight. A WMU win on Friday would basically clinch the conference title for BG, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

Just home from Ball State. Few thoughts...

Great win. I thought this would be a sluggish, go through the motions game. Boy was I wrong.

Great to see the run game cranked back up.

Don't know how they looked on espn3. But, the helmets looked fantastic in person. The metallic orange face mask and metallic logos were great without the stripe.

Ball State has a terrific facility. One of the MAC's best.

bgsufalcon24 what the flying f*** dude??? "NO RATIONAL REASON WE BEAT UT" How about the 4th best offense in country? How about a run game that has played very well down the stretch, and in fact kept us in the game on November 17th. We lost the game, we gave it away more than Toledo beat us.

You must be fun at parties.

It would be the best way to cap the MACC, no doubt about it.

It doesn't look like Sanford played tonight. Hope he's okay for the MACC.

I think it will be a tough game whether we play UT or WMU. Both teams have talent along with some size.
The key will be getting off to a decent start. Controlling the tempo of the game will be key.....Bottom line, we'll probably be favored in Vegas against either team, but if they lose to either team I wouldn't be shocked.

Western Michigan will not play in the MAC title game. If Toledo beats WMU on Friday, the Rockets play in Detroit. Otherwise, Northern Illinois plays in Detroit.

Yep...it's either NIU or Toledo, and honestly I want Toledo since I think NIU with a freshman QB wouldn't be much of a game. As much as I would love to blowout someone in the MACC, I want to earn it like in 2013. Having to exorcise demons against Toledo while they will likely be a nationally ranked team will provide a challenge for the team that I believe they'll rise to.

I would be shocked if Vegas has us a favorite over Turdledo.
