Actually they did miss that call. A flag wasn't thrown until 9 minutes after the initial play. Since a play wasn't run they still could throw a flag and they did.

I wonder if they got a phone call from the home office telling them to throw the flag. :)

Conflicting emotions watching this game. I want to play Toledo because they aren't built to overcome a deficit. If we got a early lead on them and made them play from behind, I have no doubt we'd win. But if they pull off this come back, maybe that means I'm wrong. But I doubt they will unless Western just gives it away. They're committing enough penalties right now to do just that.

Toledo goes into full Toledoing mode.

Russell's suspension will carry over to their bowl, yes? That was one of the most bush league hits you will ever see.

How many years is that for the scuds WITHOUT a football championship? Ten, eleven, twelve? I'll take championships while they blow their wad worrying about us! The "process" is working perfectly! :D

It's a bummer we don't get a rematch with UT in the championship, but at least they lost out on the MACCG by their own doing. If they had gone 10-1 and been nationally ranked but still got left out of the title game, that would have been disappointing just as a sports fan. Thankfully they controlled their own destiny and choked. If we can't have the satisfaction of whooping them in Detroit, at least we got this tasty little appetizer of Toledo failure.

1. Toledo beat our ass, in our house.

2. Winning the West is much more difficult than winning the East. I wouldn't get all excited over Toledo's loss.

3. I'm really disappointed....I think the MACC atmosphere would have been electric.

4. Western Michigan will be the best team in the MAC next year if Fleck doesn't leave, and they still may be even if he does.
