I'm not sure there were 1000 people there.

We had a hot shooting day against a team that was just awful. No idea why we're still playing DII teams in our 6th game of the season, but it was an easy win. They held closer for the first 10-15 minutes or so because one of their guys scored 16 points, largely by chucking up NBA range 3s and making them. A quick check of the stats showed that he is not nearly that caliber of shooter and sure enough he crashed back to earth as the game went on (may have actually ENDED with 16 points...).

In warmups I noticed Malik was throwing down 2 handed dunks which was pretty impressive for a guy his size. He then capped the win by doing just that for our final 2 points of the game.

All in all an easy win with no crowd there at all. Tough to really say much about the team/game when my wife commented before the tipoff: "They look like a HS team."

Went to the game today. It was a bit slow of a start in the beginning mostly due to Urbana shooting from outside very well, but their sharp shooting tapered off once a few defensive adjustments were made.

BG improved as the game went on and kept it's scoring pace. Exactly what we should want to see this early in the season. I'm not sure what to think about this season other than we shouldn't be surprised to continue seeing improvements each week. I wouldn't be surprised to see us outperform many's expectations again this year.

11 wins to 15. We will get there. Team is still forming an identity. Mayleben and Fox each had the best games of their career. I am curious why Gomez gets 0 minutes.

Mayleben looked more athletic today then what I remember. Also he has a nice shot.

Mayleben looks like a far better player than I remember, and better than I ever expected. A nice depth big off the bench that can actually stretch it out a bit. Showing some good touch on that jumper so far this year.

And Malik's dunk was sweet. Love seeing short(er) guys throw it down in games.

At least we aren't Eastern Michigan or Northern Illinois. Each are playing four non-D1 schools this season

Yep, it was fun to see Matt get 5 3's on 5-6. I find it hard to believe that Mayleben's 6 points was a CAREER high. Sigh. Shows you how much PT he got last year.

I didn't want to jinx it, but I also think Mayleben looks vastly improved from last year. More physical, better footwork, and a softer shooting touch.

I noticed in the game notes Mayleben, Tisdale and Alcegaire are all team captains this year.

The Falcons have three team captains for the 2015-16 season in junior JD Tisdale, junior Wes Alcegaire and redshirt-sophomore Garrett Mayleben.

I'm glad to see Tisdale is actually the team captain. I was afraid that he was somewhat disenfranchised under Jans.

Mayleben is a all-around quality guy who will improve every season.
