Syracuse players have tweeted that Nick Monroe is indeed in Syracuse today so it would appear his time at BGSU is also up. That's a big loss.

This is why I love going 1-AA/FCS because typically these guys bring the staff with them. If we can get Grass, Withers, Spack or Keeler ... It will be worth it to wait until January 10. (1/9 is FCS Championship) ... Withers was upset and is immediately available. The others still alive.

John Grass, Jacksonville St, number 1 national seed ...

Hopefully, if Withers gets the gig he'll leave this guy behind....

Landers has officially dropped his BG commitment.

In a tweet exchange today . . . Jordan Strack said he would be "shocked" if BG didn't name a coach this week.

Sucks but expected with coaching changes. Hopefully a good hire will be able to keep most of them, but after reading through Landers's twitter I wouldn't much care to have him here anyway. Basically started begging for Syracuse to take him from the moment Babers was announced. I want student athletes who are going to buy into BG as a program and a school.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Babers said he would not go after any BG recruit unless they de-committed. To me that is not looking out for us. It almost encourages a recruit tied to him to bail out on his commitment to BG. I believe Clawson was more clear he was leaving BG recruits alone.

17-18 year olds are going to change their mind in this situation. I've never understood the P5 fan bases who get fired up because he's getting his MAC recruits to the new school. But, whatever.

Whoever gets hired is going to have his hands full getting his staff together, meeting the team and hitting the recruiting trail. Everyone is clamoring for someone cut from the same cloth. But, it's pretty much a reset situation now.

Speaking from direct experience - Clawson was clear - You committed to BG. He didn't go after the 2014 recruits or play word games about he wouldn't as long as they stay committed. Those are code words for kids to get ansy and see if they can follow - i get it that is human nature. We'll see how this might fit with the Syracuse recruits that might get bumped - Recruiting can be tough. Babes and Kingston honored the commitments of Clawson's class. Would have liked to see the same on the way out both on our side and the Syracuse side - Just my opinion.

Its not like he starts from 0 and can fill 25 spots. They have a whole bunch of commits already to the last coach.
