Bowling Green has never really recruited Texas that I can remember. Bowling Green, like other MAC schools, seems more focused on Florida.Falcon137 wrote:Have to admit, it's intriguing to have a strong Texas recruiter leading the team.
The more important question is this: Did Kingston reach in order to try to achieve a worthy goal, which is to maintain our approach to offense?
I'm not saying Kingston did reach here. He has proven he has a pretty sharp eye for talent. (Ask Syracuse.) But, let's be honest: Jinks only has three or four years of college coaching experience. I respect Texas high school football as much as the next guy -- I watched Friday Night Lights, and all that. But, still.
Urban Meyer was only a receivers coach at the time we got him, so this kind of thing can work. But I hope we are getting the next Urban Meyer, not the next Gerry Faust.
