good piece from Hittinger about the Brainerd guys.

Area high school rivalries, friendships always make BSU's games against Bowling Green special

This is a series BG needs to win as Bemidji has struggled this season, starting off 5-7-3. These games are what will determine a possible at-large bid in March or being on the outside looking in again.

Bemidji gets to toss teddy bears on the ice after a goal but we can't?!? WTF?

Up 2-0 after the first. Our first shot on goal went in. Mitch McLain scored the first and Brandon Hawkins scored the 2nd goal!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Baylis gets his first collegiate goal with just over 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd. BG leads 3-1.

Anexcellent win. Empty net goal gives BG a 4-1 win. There was thought Nell might have gotten credit for the ENG, but ultimately it was determined that Friedman was the last BG player to touch so he was given credit, with Nell getting an assist.

Excellent defensive effort by The Falcons! If only UAH could have held on...

It will probably be decided head to head. Need at least 3 points when we visit Mankato. But I'm getting way ahead of myself.

Possibly. There appears to be a lot of parity in the league this year. The point differential right now is ridiculous.

I disagree. Between the ice and the boards there's lots of room for improvement.
