UALR on ESPN's Top-10 plays twice, won in Bowling Green

Post by BGSU33 »

ESPN showed two UALR highlights as part of their Top-10 plays this morning, as ULR snuck into Bowling Green, Kentucky and got a road win. Let's not let them sneak into Bowling Green, Ohio and do the same thing! UALR was picked in the preseason to finish 1st or 2nd by many publications and has a senior led team. We'd better be ready to play. GO BG!!!

We CAN'T underestimate this team. They've played Oklahoma St, Georgia Tech, and Mississippi State this season. Sure they lost big each time but that's some tough competition they might be used to. If we want to win this game, I really think the home crowd is going to have to do it. It needs to be loud and disruptive right off the bat.

You know attendance is bad when you have to INVITE people to games. They should just want to come on their own and you should reinforce the time of the game so that they remember. The whole invite for prizes thing upsets me.

Now if this gets fraternity and sorority people in the stands, and the Althetic Department gives them a round of applause during halftime for coming to the game, then I will glady retract everything previous...

I totally agree. At least the original intent of fraternaties was to foster school spirit, as well as the other more traditional reasons people go greek (the comraderie, networking abilities, goat wrestling, etc.). They always want to be noticed, but it takes "prizes" to get them out to truly be noticed? Sad, really.
