If this doesn't make DD happy...

Post by Metz »

...I don't know what will!

For tomorrow's BG News sports page, the front has a photo that goes over 4 columns on a 6 column grid and takes up all but maybe 3-4" of the page. The headlines have ESPN all over them so hopefully people realize what is going on Saturday. I guess his comments made me overachieve!

Also, I liked the photo from SI On Campus below so much, I think I'm going to do something like this when we play the birds to the South on the 27th. It will be like a wrap cover around the actual paper. On the inside I'm going to put statistics and other stuff to assist the crowd.

I see that Chevy logo down at the bottom which means they probably paid for that front page. Maybe a big Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba.com on there would look tight

For the full page thing-

Maybe you should post instructions for the fans to hold them up during pre game introductions and yell WHo's He, Nobody. .. Maybe also have them available at the door for that Miami game.

Wow do you not want to know this. Because we don't get funded by the university, the only way we make money is off of the ads...as in they are expensive! But, ask and you shall receive...

For grayscale:
1/2 page........................ $456.75
Full page........................ $913.50

If you throw color on there, add these numbers to those:
One color and black (per page) .........................$105.00
Two colors and black (per page) ........................$136.50
Three colors and black (per page) .....................$168.00
Process / 4 Color..............................................$320.00

If anyone is interested in the future, the entire Advertising Price book can be found at the address below...

This has some cool visual potential :D

Yeah...I guess my rates are too high for you huh TG? :P

And Grant, our ads are too expensive but they pay my small $600 salary over the semester!

Because it is an archive, it will not be done til the next issue is released. Sorry Jham, you should know how it goes though!

Yeah, I don't know if my original idea about the BEAT MIAMI thing is going to work out. I do not have enough information to put inside the pages and I needed to have a protocol done today and that will no longer happen. There still is the central game though!
