BG vs CMU

Here's another chance for BG to size itself up in the MAC, and to get a big win. CMU was the preseason pick to not only win the MAC West, but they were also picked to win the MAC Tournament. The Chips haven't been playing as well as expected and were missing some players, early on, but still. They feature a pair of preaseason All-MAC players in Fowler and Simon, and we all probably remember that Fowler dropped 42 on us last year.

That wasn't pretty. An example of one team with guys who can shoot from the perimeter and one that can't.

Consistently shoot from the perimeter. We have guys who can do it.

Funny looking through the star sheet at the game I don't think cmu shoots all that well for the insane volume of 3s they take. They don't have anybody mu h over 40% on the season and nowhere near Denny's 46%.

I thought the turn of the game was more cmus defense and/or our inability to execute on offense. We got a lot of great looks in the first half, but not the second. And of course they did start hitting their deep balls in the second half.

They did a fantastic job on Denny. Could not get free all game long. Alcegaire was in fouk trouble from the get go. Bottom line we're not gonna win many games with those 2 combining for under 10 points. I did think Wiggins showed some good things again, as did worrell.
