Re: Syracuse Tampering
Wow...if founded this is pretty significant, and is a pretty scumbag move by Babers' staff. NCAA doesn't look kindly to these type of things.

If true, we need to quit playing "nice guy" and turn them in NOW!

Man...Dino's starting to look more and more like a real scumbag.

I wonder which player?
Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, teach PE.
Re: Syracuse Tampering
Sean Lewis made no bones saying the players have his number and he has theirs in an article
Re: Syracuse Tampering
If this is true, I wonder if Dino can win fast enough to get out of town before the NCAA decides to do something and leave Syracuse holding the bag.

Shocker.....not suprised one bit. I'm with Factman....turn his ass into the NCAA. If nothing else so they get some negative press.
Re: Syracuse Tampering
The information is so vague that it could be anything. Perhaps someone on staff called to wish a player happy birthday or congratulations on graduating soon. Technically a violation but not a mean-spirited issue if so. So lets not get carried away. Could be major but I'm betting this is nothing and will lead to nothing.

Re: Syracuse Tampering
I don't think Strack would have gone public with the info if it was something so benign.... or an isolated incident. I'm betting they've been talking to guys with a redshirt year left... that way if the NCAA doesn't buy whatever BS excuse they can come up with to circumvent the xfer rule on sitting a year, they won't lose out.
If they made direct contact...they're pretty stupid. You couldn't find some recruit or former player with a connection to the player to back channel a message?
Aside from all that, if I worked for the NCAA as a field investigator, I'd blast this on a Jawbone whenever I showed up at a new school

Re: Syracuse Tampering
This is certainly something we never had to worry about after Clawson left. Not with recruits and certainly not current players.
GO BG!!!

At this point I'm not real surprised, unfortunately.

Re: Syracuse Tampering
Me neither. Babers has been in the business a long time. The Syracuse fans are not very happy with their new coach.

I would like to see some more details....I really hope we take action if we have a substantial claim.
Babers will end up like Beckmann at Illinois....in a couple years they'll be looking at any excuse to get rid of him.
