That's what happens when you don't play a full 60. Hoping for a bounce back win next weekend. Just need to get hot for the playoffs, only thing that can get us to the tourney now.

BG pairwise took a big drop this week. Currently down to #25 and even a sweep next weekend in Mankato won't be enough. Just need to get hot at the right time. Have a 2 pt lead over Tech at the moment, but would be better if we were the #1 seed

Dominated at every aspect of the game...even severely out-worked by their fans.

Nothing matters but making it to, and winning in, Grand Rapids. That's the only way this season gets extended. No need to even look at Pairwise.

Yep. Maybe we have learned what kind of team we have: Good but not better than last season. Beat Mankato!

That's been the biggest frustration about this years team, we didn't lose a large amount of players, and the expectations for this season were high since we missed out on the NCAA tourney by such a slim margin. The one thing I notice is a lack of leadership and sense of urgency from this years squad. You have to hand it to MTU, they came ready to play Saturday, and took what was a great crowd and atmosphere out of the game after that 5 on 3 shorty.

It isn't a suprise...our success directly correlates to moving into a significantly weaker conference. While we can compete with better teams, we aren't at the level that we can consistently win those games.

I think a lot of people underestimated who we lost last year. Desalvo, Berkle, Kucera may not have generated too much offense last year but they ate a ton of tough minutes, which led to more scoring opportunities for Hawkins et al. Those three guys alone were big time penalty killers. Then you add on losing Valeau, an up and coming defensemen, and Sullivan who played a ton too.

We've got 4 freshman d guys out there every night. I'm not at all suprised we've had our ups and downs (which I predicted before the season on this board)

Having said all that, everything but a high pairwise is out there for the taking. Plenty of hockey left, including a chance to take over the top spot in the conference this weekend.

I'm happy with our D-men. I've been impressed with Ernst and Smith, considering their late arrival. After losing Valleau and Ferrari, who would have thought defense would be the team's strength this season?
