BG vs BSU

Post by BGSU33 »

This one is easy to sum up: Must-Win Game. BG has lost 3 of its last 4 games and has fallen to 4-4 after a 3-1 start. We can't afford to dip below .500 here and we have to end this current 3-game home losing streak. It's getting old watching team after team stroll into the Stroh and leave with wins. It's our home court, and it's time to start winning on it.

Not to mention it is also dollar night!

Dollar dogs, popcorn, and pop I believe.

I hope we win. I also hope I don't eat more than 5 hot dogs.

When was the last time we were favored to win a game? Have we been favored since Miami?

That's why I cannot get that bent out of shape over our losses. This team, to me, is playing with house money already. They're way better than I ever guessed, and more importantly to me, they're WAY more fun to watch. This is the most fun to watch BG team in years. Even last year I don't think they were as enjoyable to watch as this group is.

Gotta win the games that you're favored in, though. Hopefully we show up and play some ball. What we really need is Zach Denny the shooter back. His 3 point shot was opening things up most of the year while shooting close to 50%. Even better when they would find him sitting outside by his lonesome. We need him to get out of his funk.

As for the dogs? They aren't good hotdogs, but enough cheap yellow mustard can cover up the flavor of any bad hotdog. And they're a buck. And since they already had the dollar day at the hockey game maybe we'll even get some fresh popcorn tonight for the buck.

And speaking of concessions, is anybody as upset as me that when Mr. Frack passed away the Frackolate chip cookies basically went with him? They still have them but they're completely different, and they're garbage. Interestingly they had them made by the Cookie Jar on the day of the Bill Frack challenge and they were awesome...but what they have had since are awful. Sad considering those were the best concession item I remember in BG sports history.

I agree with the style of play. What I think is interesting is that Parker, while he is really good, seems to not allow things to flow as well. I can't put my finger on it but I just get the feeling that his style of play holds back the team somewhat.

The hotdogs are a five point favorite over hammb...I guess that makes him a dog too

BSU was torching us with threes early. Seemed like very one they put up went in. Nice run to close out the half from BG though.

Is this seriously the best we can do for announcers for these ESPN3 games? They're always hard to listen to. Especially the "sideline" reports.

Fun Fact: BGSU is on an 8 game win streak against the Cardinals, winning 12 of the last 14.

On a side note, one of the commentators reminds me of Ryan from The Office.
