Signing Day

Post by jpfalcon09 »

Tomorrow should be a fun day, if you've been browsing the recruiting forum you'll notice that Jinks and staff have been quite busy the past few weekends.

Also, tomorrow ESPN3 will be broadcasting events from BG's signing day events, likely from 1:00-2:30pm.

Expecting big things from Jinks. His attitude and outlook gets me excited about what's to come.

I'm pretty jacked about the recruits I've heard so far...Interested to see what we get from Texas.

Signing Day is always cool...

Very little from Florida so far which to me is a disappointment after the past 6 years of heavily recruited Florida. So far only 1 recruit from Texas.

According to Wagner on Twitter, Jordan Williams has flipped his recruitment back to Toledo.

Watching the signing day shows on several networks. It really upsets me how they rank HS athletes. And then they parade them on a big stage and waiting for their decision. Like the #1 recruit has a 1:00 press conference on National TV. I understand that the HS player wants to feel special as this is a very special day but do we really need to put a ranking next to their name. They are HS athletes. What if they are a flop in college or don't make the grades. Seriously!!! Do we need a press conference with cheerleaders and a band for an 18 year to declare where he will go to college.

BG is still waiting on 2-3 more NLIs and then will be finished.

From the commits that have been reported - I have that Dirion Hutchins, Marquis Zimmerman, and Kyree Calli are not in the fold yet. I've heard rumors for awhile that Calli was going to decommit but has not ever been verified. Hutchins seems to be weighing options up to the last.

Got my players crossed. I guess I was looking for Darrion Landry. Do they treat JUCO's differently on LOI?

Darrion Landry has sent in his NLI. He did the same last year with Toledo but never enrolled due to issues with classes. That should be resolved this time around.

Landry and Wyatt both remind me a bit of Roger Lewis.

Loving the look of this class, love that we are filling needs (OL and DB) and bringing in quality athletes at other spots as well.
