Jackson signed with Long Beach State today. Gonzalez signed with SE Louisiana. Although the BG website has yet to confirm I saw various reports including the players' twitter that are two verbals -Caldwell and Frye signed in the last two days. Both are PGs.

Just remember, the only reason Nate Thurmond came to BG, was because we were trying to get Elijah Chapman and Nate was his best friend. Nate was only 6'6" or so at the time. Sometimes you just have to take a bit of a chance. :D

Gist to Eastern Kentucky. He is apparently a terrible decision maker.

I think it's become pretty clear that another banger in the post would be great. After a brief glance at the 4s and 5s from Ohio left in this years class one guy stands out. Doesn't appear to have any offers yet, which is interesting for such a big guy. Anyone know his story?

Mark Kostelac 6-11 250 Chadron

He is somehow tied to Shane Kline Ruminski.

Looks like he has a screw in his foot, which isn't great.

I know someone on NDCL staff who sees a lot of basketball. Would seem that this kid is rather immature with a temper. Was suspended for kicking an opponent. Must admit some of video looks pretty good, but thats why they call them HI LITES.

So he'd be a project,, but why not take a chance. " when guys are tired, hes still tall"

To be honest I almost messaged you directly thinking you would know. I could see a preferred walk on role with the 2 red flags we noted. That way you are not tied to him should his foot flare up or his temper.

For a 6-11 guy, that kid has super soft hands and a great shot. Also, he has a good frame so he can get stronger. His coordination is solid, but his footwork looks slow. He's scholarship worthy, but would need a year to adjust to D1.

As far as having a bad temper, that's good and bad. College level coaching can discipline his behavior. Further, being on the college level may cause him to act out less. Hopefully. Let's remember that we're talking about an 18 year old.

Pro Wells who was offered as a SG, signed to play football at Marshall. The more I read on him, it did appear that football was his best game. Here is the link. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/maple/186558" target="_blank

Of the remaining 2016 offers shown on verbal commits, I am not sure any will go with BG. Jax Levitch has BG in his final 3 but appears to be leaning more toward Rutgers or Delaware. Huger really needs to sign some big guys and of the guys offered, the big man from Senegal seems like a longshot. That leaves just Ohioan Andre Wesson (predicted by 247 Sports as a Richmond signee) and DC product Antwon Walker (received a DePaul offer in January).

Globe, I was mainly discussing the big men as I think we are already pretty guard oriented but that being said, Peacock appears to be a pure shooter at 6'6". So I think he could be in the mix if the interest on his part is there.
