Coach Joseph is an excellent corner coach that also played the position as a pro. I think being a professional at that position proves that you know a heck of alot more about the position than many of you may think. Here is a guy that had to study the position and then put his study to work on the field. His knowledge translated into great teaching and our corners have greatly benefitted. When our corners were able to play man on man, in your face defense, I don't recall them getting beat and that credit goes to Joseph. Able1 nailed it on the head with the cover 2 comments and Joseph has absolutely nothing to do with picking that scheme. You might wanted look further up the chain on that one. Joseph is a fine coach and we were lucky to have him if just for 1 year. Some of you say BG bailed him out of a bad situation. I'd say he bailed us out of one, because we had no corner coach and no one already on the staff has his specialty.

Not trying to start any speculation, but I heard some interesting  Colorado investigation now has revealed some mysterious cash boxes kept by the Buffalo coaches for one thing. But another interesting revelation is that two female athletic trainers have made allegations they were accosted/attacked/harassed/something by an assistant coach. Said assistant coach is no longer at Colorado. Not trying to insinuate anything, but Joseph did leave Colorado under some mysterious circumstances.

From the USA Today:
"Other female trainers related that they are harassed, groped, mocked, ridiculed and treated like 'second-class citizens' during practice and during games," the report stated, according to excerpts printed in The Denver Post. "They stated that these practices were widely known and tolerated by the players, the athletic department, the sports medicine program and some coaches with the football team."

The assistant coach against whom allegations were made no longer works at the university, according to athletic department spokesman Dave Plati

It could be Coach Brandon.

I don't understand your post. You bring up a good point that it could be Coach Brandon. If that is the case, there is no way to leave this alone.

Why should we leave something alone where women are being exploited and there is potential connections to our football program?

But there is nothing in what you have written that says Vance Joseph was involved. We should not be bringing up his name on such an accusation unless we know something is there.

I agree that the charges are serious and warrant investigation by Colorado.

But to try and connect a former Falcon coach to this without any evidence? I just think it's nonsense. That's where I was coming from.

Given the timing and circumstances of Joseph's departure from Colorado, I think it is a fair question to ask, especially now that these accusations against a former assistant coach have come out. And you are the one that brought Brandon's name into this. How many assistant football coaches left Colorado in this time frame and two of them are/were at BG. Even Oliver Stone can see some connections there.

I agree...let Colorado conduct its investigation. If information is uncovered that implicates a current member of the football staff in some type of wrong doing, it may have some relevance to our situation.

I have a lot of reservations about how much weight you would assign to things that went on at another school when evaluating a coach here.
If there's an offene that the NCAA or the legal system should deal with, that's one thing. But if it's something that falls short of that, perhaps a violation of a specific University policy for example, I would be hard pressed to see the point in acting on that here and now.

FWIW, I really don't think Gregg Brandon would be involved in that kind of stuff...he just doesn't strike me as that kind of guy. I have a pretty good nose for that sort of thing.

I don't know about Coach Joseph. Since he's left the program, I really don't care.

I agree that I don't think it involves Brandon since he left Colorado back in 2000. A quick check of Colorado's 2004 media and it looks like they had 5 assistant coaches that joined the program since 2001. That means there were five that have left, Joseph being one of them. I know some women's groups made a big stink when he was hired. Maybe they had reason to be upset. i hope it wasn't Joseph, but it is very possible it was.

Be careful, Warthog...these are only allegations. There may not be anything to have been "involved" with.

Flip, I think I was just stating facts. It is a fact that the grand jury report says female athletic trainers reported being harassed, groped, mocked, ridiculed and treated like 'second-class citizens' during practice and during games. It is a fact that Joseph was an assistant coach at Colorado from 1999-2003 except for one year at Wyoming in there. It is a fact that the assistant coach against whom allegations were made no longer works at the university. It is a fact that Joseph left Colorado after being placed on leave for unstated reasons. The facts as I know them.
