Re: @Fairbanks
This team continues to find ways to disappoint. Frustrating as hell...

Re: @Fairbanks
McKeown in for Bednard tonight.
How many games this year have we skated five Dmen? Ernst still out tonight.
As disappointing as this year's scoring has been, it still amazes how the D has hung together. Suddenly losing Valleau, Ferrari, and Mingo...and so many damned games skating only 5 guys. Four D freshmen playing big minutes, and they've been warriors. Sure, Nell has made them look good, but the D should be solid for years (assuming we don't lose more guys early...).

What's even more interesting is only 6 D traveled to Alaska. A guy like Pears would be a great asset on the big ice. I honestly think he is one of the best skaters on the team. Would actually like to see him play more, to the point where he could settle in a little like the rest of the D men.poltergeist wrote:McKeown in for Bednard tonight.

I'm also not convinced Nell is as good as his numbers. He's a big guy, and plays well enough to have earned a D1 starting job. I just don't think he is actually the best goaltender in the league, as his stats suggest. And that's a direct reflection of how good the defense is in front of him. There's just been many times where inconsistency has haunted him. The game winning goal last night is a perfect example. Clear shot that went through him. Definitely one he should have had.

Re: @Fairbanks
We currently in 3rd place after Tech won 9-2. Wow of goals. Ferris and Northern now only 1 pt behind us.
Re: @Fairbanks
End of 2, BG leads 3-0. Stripes trying their hardest to get Alaska back in this game.
And we need to take whatever sticks are left and throw them in the frigging dumpster. I don't think I've ever seen sticks break so much.

Re: @Fairbanks
Apparently the game ends in a 4-1 BG victory. I say apparently because staying up to watch the game proved useless as some dumbass archived the game at the end of the second intermission, so I couldn't watch the third period. CHN app just notified me the game ended. Yes, I very politely informed the WCHA that it was unacceptable.

Re: @Fairbanks
Yup, we had the same problem. I was not happy either. Ended up listening to Evan on 88.1, so at least we HEARD the rest of the game.pdt1081 wrote:Apparently the game ends in a 4-1 BG victory. BEAT FERRIS!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: @Fairbanks
the answer to my rhetorical question:
"I thought our defense played well all weekend long," BGSU head coach Chris Bergeron said. "As we look back on our season, we've probably played some of our best hockey with only five defensemen dressed. That wasn't the plan this weekend, but our defense has stepped up in those situations all year." BGSU improved to 4-1-2 on the season when playing just five defensemen in the lineup, with five of those contests coming during the first half of the season before freshmen Adam Smith and Jordan Ernst arrived to begin the second semester. - See more at: http://www.wcha.com/men/recaps16.php?ma ... t99Zg.dpuf" target="_blank

I never gave up either. The game wasn't even listed as being available as a Live Event after 1AM. I was still refreshing, logging out, logging in, closing Chrome, reopening everything, etc, when I received the notification from CHN that the game was over.falcon54 wrote:i never gave up trying to get the feed and got to watch the last 14 minutes of the game, Didn't see our fourth goal but saw them score. I emailed Stretch last night about it. Response I got this morning was "looking at the game logs it looks like the feed may have cut out at the end of the second period. " Really? You don't say.......

Re: @Fairbanks
so no offer of a refund. Only have to get through the huntsville series on there for the season. Home first round please.

Road trip.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.
Re: @Fairbanks
i am a tax accountant i have to save my days for grand rapids and things like that. I would prefer to be in huntsville though.
Re: @Fairbanks
I gave up a long time ago. It's too much for me to pay to have so many issues with the feed, on top of all i spend on home games and a few road trips. At least I didn't impulse buy the season pass at the start of the season!falcon54 wrote:i never gave up trying to get the feed and got to watch the last 14 minutes of the game, Didn't see our fourth goal but saw them score. Also, I just enjoy listening to our broadcast. I think Evan and Adam are pretty darn good for a student produced broadcast. Plenty of nostalgia too, reminds me of listening to games when I was younger with my dad.
