Took us about 4 mins to score our first point but once we did it was a pretty entertaining first half. Way too many turnovers became easy baskets but I like watching us play ub. They don't guard anybody either so some nice dunks by lilard and alcegaire.
Joseph has shot more tonight than I remember but he's made some so I suppose it's OK...

Who is this Lillard. Lol. His best game of the year.
BG up by 2 with 2 min left. BG could win and have 3 teams at 6-12. 4 teams could also be tied for 2nd. Tie breakers are going to work overtime tonight.

Another scoreless night so far for Denny
Re: BG hosting UB tonight...
In his defense he's barely played...since the other guys are vastly outperforming him.gmartin wrote:Another scoreless night so far for Denny
Lilard should have been playing more for awhile now. He's getting better. Needs to work on the 3 PT shot though so teams can't just play off him...
Re: BG hosting UB tonight...
This team can build around Worrell, Wiggins and Lillard. By the time these 3 are Seniors we could have something special. Get a true PG and an outside shooter. Get rid of some of the dead weight. 2017-2018 could be a special year.

Down by 1 under 30 seconds and with the ball. Parker needs to take the shot. His last home game. Nothing to lose.
Re: BG hosting UB tonight...
That sums up the last 14 games. Turn the ball over on an inbounds pass. Smh
Re: BG hosting UB tonight...
Of all the god awful ways to f**k up a game... My god. Microcosm of the Mac season right there...

If I had to bet I would that Caldwell is the starting point guard by MAC tournament.
Also 2-3 other roster spots will open up for new recruits.

61, Rodrick Caldwell is highly skilled, quick and a leader at PG. Signed early and has had a tremendous year for the state's best- or one of the bes-t D 1 teams at Huber Heights Wayne. He is quite a complete player w a bright future. In the eyes of some, he had developed into one of the very best PGs in the Midwest.

That's high praise. I saw him play once and while I wasn't overly impressed and it was just one game it was clear he's a very fast athlete and he's already playing with bg level talent.

Globe, he plays best in two situations in particular: when the game is on the line and when the opponent is top flight.
That is a very very good sign at age 17. When you hit 10 of 11 FT with game on line for example. When you break a press and thread a perfect pass to win. When you hit the dagger three late in the fourth.
All of that must translate to a much better level of competition with all the wear/tear and physicality of D 1 basketball. There will be a big learning curve like with most MAC freshmen especially perimeter players.
But the guy can play.
