Tournament Seedings

Post by gmartin »

I believe I have these correct.

1. Akron
2. Ohio
3. Buffalo
4. Central Michigan
5. Kent State
6. Ball State
7. Northern Illinois
8. Eastern Michigan
9. Toledo
10. Western Michigan
11. Miami
12. Bowling Green

BG should play at Kent State on Monday

Was watching the end of the Toledo game and they said CMU was #2 seed, Ball State #5, and Buffalo #6.

I guess I was way off. Thought they did away with Division winner being the #2 seed if someone else had better record. Or then again, it was a Toledo broadcast and they aren't the brightest.

Then they said Toledo EMU winner will get Akron. OK, Doesn't Akron get a double bye. I think I may be correct after all

No double byes this year anymore. I don't think so anyhow. Heard the commish on 850 saying how they went back to the older tourney layout. That's a bit of a bummer to me, really like rewarding regular season champs.

BG at Kent State. Not a good matchup for us, but then again, what is.

No more double byes, they did away with it.

The MAC Tournament is such an afterthought, most of us don't bother to know the format. My question, will BG be forced to recruit any of its' end of the bench guys back this offseason?
