NFL Pro Day

Post by Tech2000 »

It appears from multiple sites that pro day is March 14 for BGSU. From what I gathered 49ers, bengals are just a couple to be here

Last year, Jude Adjei-Barimah greatly benefited from the pro day. I have to wonder this year who is most likely to benefit from the visibility. If I had to pick one, it would be Ryan Burbrink. With all the success Julian Edelman has in NE, I could see Burbrink getting similar looks. And if I had to pick two, I would add Alex Huettel. Mostly because of his experience. I bet he will knock interviews with scouts out of the park.

A list of Srs and others....

WR Roger Lewis
DB Denard Turner
TE Derek Lee
TE Vito Sosic
K Anthony Farinella
TE Chris Gallon
RB Travis Greene
WR Herve Coby
QB Matt Johnson
WR Diontre Delk
QB Nolan Dieter
WR Ryan Burbrink
DL Taylor Royster
OL Alex Heuttel
OL Spencer Cairo
DL Bryan Baird
DB Darrell Hunter
S Eilar Hardy
OL Christian Piazza
DL Zach Colvin

I would break it down as
Guaranteed to get drafted
1.WR Roger Lewis

Guaranteed to get into a camp
1. QB Matt Johnson
2. RB Travis Greene
3. OL Alex Heuttel
4. DB Denard Turner
5. DT Zach Colvin

Likely to be in a camp
1. WR Ryan Burbrink
2. TE Chris Gallon
3. TE Derek Lee
4, S Eilar Hardy
5. DT Taylor Royster

Some thoughts.
1. I can't remember Colvin's injury, was there thought he might be back next year?
2. I am a huge Bengals fan and they use a TE like I think we do which not many people do. They basically make them a FB/TE/H-back. I had been looking at possible camp possibilities and for some reason ignored Lee. He might fit well.
3. I expect someone to really like the idea of...What if we get Chris Gallon healthy at TE. The TE draft this year is really weak. Probably just a feeler but who knows.
4. Taylor Royster is probably too undersized to play DT but some teams have been taking guys like him and putting them at FB. Nikita Whitlock is an example. James Develin another. I would atleast hope they have him run some FB things.

I know MJ tweeted that he'll be back on campus this week to work out with his fellow seniors in preparation for the 14th.

Unfortunately I don't believe Zach Colvin can come back. 2015 has him listed as a grad student.

I noticed a couple NFL teams has their NFL Pro date as the 11th for us as well. I checked most NFL teams and between the 2dates looks like most have us scheduled. First time in a while that the browns, Steelers, Bengals lions, ones I consider in our backyard, have at the very least us on their schedule. Whether they show is a different story.
