I wonder about this dude? Big body only has one offer so far?
The tweets to the left on that page say he just had a 27pt 25 rebound game. I can't find a video and it seems that his only video popping is as a DE/TE

Interesting SF with size. Juco from Florida, went to the same HS as several players we offered.

Interesting big from Indiana, reportedly some big ten interest and an offer from Air Force. Looks like a stretch 4 who might lack athleticism. He is ambidextrous. Which means he can breathe under water.

I'm on vacation in Punta Cana now, but reading your evaluations on kids is interesting. Guess I dont classify "BIGS" as 6'7" anymore... And i think this years team proves that point. 6'7" kids have had a HECK of a time vs. 6'9"-6 -10 kids from other teams.
Perhaps we should take a chance on the NDCL kid we've talked about in the past... Can't be any worse than the lone 6-10 kid who left the team recently, can he?

I agree.....I have been looking at guys from 6-5 and above because I think that's where our need will be with Parker gone and a lack of depth here. The number of guys shrinks as their height shrinks, as does the athleticism and quality of play. I actually wonder if these 6-7 guys are really 6-5 guys too. At 6-7 you can be an average athlete. I don't think that's true at 6-5.

Have a great vacation! 2 things.
1. Wear lots of mosquito spray.
2. Find us a diamond in the rough big from the DR that no one else knows about. :)

This guy is certainly interesting. 6-7 power forward. Reminds me a bit of Parker.

He is under the radar. Not even on Verbal commits.

Edit.

His teammate is a point guard that looks pretty smooth.

Mocking an offseason. Need another big, a leader and a glue guy who makes everything run well and a superstar.

2 spots, if there were only 2 spots.

1.Mark Kostelac 6-11 250 Chadron

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2334934/mark-kostelac" target="_blank

Just added this video. Got to like a 275lb guy who can do a 360. He might be high risk with a foot injury and potential growing up to do but his upside is very high.

2. Jon Brown 6-6 Miami SG
http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/jonathan-brown" target="_blank
http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/jonatha" target="_blank ... -stats.htm

Found a new video. Apparently this is Kenny Anderson's nephew. His release on his shot is low and slow, everything else looks really good. Doesn't look like he's playing near his talent level though. I said I didn't want guards but this guy is special and 6-6. Could play 3 spots for us. He reportedly also has a 3.8 gpa and high SAT numbers. Columbia has interest. Averaged 26pts, 11rbs and 10assists.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af_LTiX ... e=youtu.be" target="_blank

2016-2017
1 Ali Sr-Caldwell Fr-Frye Fr
2 Denny Sr-Malik So-Brown R
3 Lillard So-Alcegaire-Sr-Tisdale Sr
4 Worrell So-Mayleben Jr
5 Wiggins So-Kostelac R

3 spots, if 3 spots were available.

Conner Tenlove 6-7 PF Valparaiso

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juWi0KW7Tpg" target="_blank
http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/p" target="_blank ... story.html

He is 2 inches shorter and he has a nicer outside shot but part of his game reminds me of Matela.

2016-2017
1 Ali Sr-Caldwell Fr-Frye Fr
2 Denny Sr-Malik So-Brown R
3 Lillard So-Alcegaire-Sr-Tisdale Sr
4 Worrell So-Mayleben Jr-Tenlove R
5 Wiggins So-Kostelac R

If there were 4 spots

Shakem Johnson 6-7 Warren OH SF

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO5r5YvU_5Y" target="_blank
http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/shakem-" target="_blank ... efault.htm

He is a leaper who would attack the basket aggressively. Beyond that I am not sure.

1 Ali Sr-Caldwell Fr-Frye Fr
2 Denny Sr-Malik So-Brown R
3 Lillard So-Alcegaire-Sr-Tisdale Sr-Johnson R
4 Worrell So-Mayleben Jr-Tenlove R
5 Wiggins So-Kostelac R

Globe, while I appreciate the effort. You said BG needs a big, a shooter, a glue guy, and a superstar. That's basically saying BG needs an entire roster of talent. Huger brought in 4 players who all contributed immediately, given on a really bad team. Again, I ask why is Tisdale here? Why was Gomez here? Why is Maybelen here? Oh, because the AD acted as if it wasn't Jans actually coaching these guys into something, and begged guys to come back who signed with Louis Orr, going into a lame duck coaching year. Recruits almost nobody wanted out of high school, recruits nobody wanted as transfers. He didn't want the Jans mess, plus the entire roster to leave, to come back on him. So yes, BG needs an entire roster, and it has been delayed well beyond Jans.

We do need a lot. But we also had 4 Freshman this year and some of that can come from them. If Wiggins, Worrell or Lillard were 1st team all MAC in 3 years I wouldn't be surprised. They all showed flashes.

Plus one guy can encompass a couple of those things. You can be the glue guy and the leader. Or the superstar and the leader. Etc.

Fair point, I guess I was just assuming you thought we needed 4 different players to be viable (We might). I think we all can agree, we need some real talent.

Wiggins and Worrell showed SOME flashes, but overall they got destroyed as the MAC year went on. Neither could defend the post with any consistency. I thought both played their asses off in the UT game despite the numbers they gave up, but from that point on they got absolutely OWNED. Rebounding was also a massive issue throughout the MAC season.

The one Freshman who I'm VERY encouraged by is Lillard. He needs to basically hop in for what Parker was doing and go forward. He's a better athlete and better finisher at the rim than Parker right now, IMO. What he isn't is a good shooter. Absysmal from both 3 and the free throw line. Gotta work on that shooting stroke or nobody is going to let him get near the rim next year when he is, presumably, playing a much bigger role.

And who knows WTF we have in Denny. The last couple weeks we've been at our best when he's sitting not only on the bench but as far away from the coaches as possible. I say this with absolutely NO inside knowledge or whatever, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if he were a transfer candidate given the way this season went. I know Huger wouldn't say it, but with his comments as the year went on, I cannot help but think Denny is the one that "shuts down" or "pouts" when confronted with actual coaching...

We need Ali to maintain his ability to set up teammates, but cut his turnovers WAY down. We badly need a consistent shooter. We badly need defense on both the perimeter and the post. I think Alcegaire & Lillard handle the scoring load next year, but if they are going to we really need the to protect the ball as well.

I would not be shocked if the starting 5 was Ali-Alcegaire-Lillard-Worrell-Wiggins. Only issue I have with that as the starting 5 is we have NOTHING big behind those two, so we may not be able to afford playing them together much. We really need another big.

Andre Wesson 6-6 Columbus, Westerville HS
Offers: Duquesne, Illinois St, George Mason, Northern Kentucky, UT Martin, Akron, Toledo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mewOG5G0ubQ" target="_blank

Got to see Wesson play last night. Along with his younger bro a OSU commit and his opponent Ibi Watson a Michigan Commit. The latter two were fantastic. Wesson 2 will be an outstanding post for OSU. He is a very good athlete for his size 6-9 275 but not a good athlete overall because of his size. He will have a great career at OSU. He has giant hands, nice touch around the basket and range to the 3 point land. Ibi Watson has Big Ten player of the year written on him. Agressive great athlete at 6-5 and tremendous hops.

Andre Wesson was just ok. He hit 2 threes and had 13 points but he wasn't discernible from the other 4 starters. He has an awkward running style and while he put down a dunk doesn't seem overly athletic. If I had to guess I would say this is a guy we would be happy if he doesn't accept that offer, if it's still on the table. I had assumed he would eventually get an OSU offer. I really doubt that's true. It's just one game, but he was just another guy when I saw him.
