I haven't seen us actually guarding Fowler yet. We cannot guard the ball for crap, and we cannot guard the post for crap. That's been the case for the past 3 months. We came out and played about 10 minutes, maybe even 20, of very good defense Monday and got a win @ KSU.

Hopefully they can find a way to play defense in the 2nd half of this one. Because it's unlikely that CMU will keep missing open 3s the way they have this 1st half.

I say all that, and our real issue is that Lillard has been the only scoring threat for us. Tisdale with a nice finish there, and makes the and 1 to pull within 3.

Parker ZERO points. Denny ZERO points. Joseph TWO points. Glad to see the veterans doing so well. Nice shot Joseph to end the half

Only down by 6 at the half. Maybe these 3 will show up for the 2nd half

And after I FINALLY say something nice about Tisdale he commits a stupid ass foul to give the 3 points back...and I think I heard the announcer say that is his 3rd? That cannot possibly be, can it?

I think we were about 9:00 in before we committed a foul and now we've had like 11? Ugh...our defense is putrid.

The only one really concerning about that is Parker, really. Joseph doesn't score much. He can't shoot. In fact he's horrid shooting. One of the least efficient scorers I've ever seen. And Denny has been completely lost since MAC season kicked in gear.

Parker though? Yeah, we cannot win without him scoring. Luckily he's had these sorts of halves before and has shown he can bounce back with a 20 point half at any point. Hopefully we get that in the 2nd half if we're to have a chance.

Unfortunately, as awful as we've been, CMU has really been pretty close to as bad...and they're winning. They're gonna start making 3s in bunches at some point, and I'd like to have a lead on them to protect us when that happens...

5 for 10 at the line, that's 5 missed points, plus 3 of the misses were on the front end of 1 and 1. That's 8 points that we left on the court. That's the game so far besides Joseph, Denny and Parker not scoring.

Parker is SO SLOW today on defense. He is a defensive liability today. He's given up 11 pts on D. Hopefully he is saving his energy for the 2nd half

I don't trust our defense to just hang close. We have to get and build a lead before they start hitting shots.

Or start defending Fowler like we've been unable to do for years.

Can we please teach our players, and every other player, that when you catch a ball near the baseline or sideline to NOT make your first step backwards. Go forward. Way too many players, BG and other teams, that step out of bounds

Tied it up at 39!

Need Parker to wake up and we can maybe win this thing. Lillard carried us thus far...that kid is gonna be GOOD.

Wiggins, Worrell and Lillard will be fun to watch next 3 years. Now get a true PG and an outside shooter and in 2 years we could have something.

BG now down 8. It's the Fowler and Rayson show. Time to put in Parker and see how bad he wants the last 8 min of his playing career.

GAG...we had opportunities to take the lead, and just fell apart for an 8-0 run. Gave up rebounds, missed layups, turnovers, blah blah blah.

This team is still the same team they've been for the past 2 months way too often. Still have a chance though. Need to get SOMETHING from Parker down the stretch. Lillard has played a good game, but he really badly needs to work on that jump shot for next year. For now though, I'd rather he stop shooting 3 balls.

And good god does this team need a PG.

Down 3 with 5 min to go.

About time for Fowler and Rayson to go ice cold. My dream coming true.
