Reported via Twitter he is leaving the program.

Best of luck JD. This should work in BG favor. It opens up another scholarship and I'm sure Huger will be able to find someone with just as much talent as JD

D1 athlete....D2 skills. Transfer down a level and tear it up....

I agree. I don't really like to see him go, but if it opens up a spot for a better player to come in, then it could be a win-win situation all the way around.

I had high hopes for him bc of his talent. He never improved.

He came in as a good athlete with limited skillset...poor shot, not a great handler/passer, etc. Like you said, those things never improved.

I still occasionally see a quick flash from him that makes me think he's among the best athletes on the floor at any given minute, but he's too limited and easy to defend. I wish him luck, he could probably play at a lower division and do well. Hopefully Huger can put the scholarship to good use.

Not to go off subject but anyone watch the Michigan Tulsa game last night. Tulsa had 12 players dress for the game. 9 seniors. 3 underclassmen. How can you even let that happen as a program. Next year they will need to either recruit 9 freshman or go the JC route.

I don't know about having nine, but I remember not long ago it was hard for BG to get just one. We had so many players transferring that we couldn't ever get any momentum, we were constantly stuck in rebuilding mode with young teams. I remember not even having a senior on senior night.

I think this is a win win for both. Elsewhere he can be the centerpiece of a lower level team. For BG he would have been a senior at the end of the rotation. Now we get the chance to go for someone else who can play a bigger role.
