Ya know, that is something I never though of...Cal is a true lifelong FALCON and bleeds orange and brown. You may have something there.

+1
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Kit Hughes said last night that they hope to have the new AD named within the next week or so. He expressed that there has been quite a lot of interest from candidates which is a great sign for the image of BG athletics. It's a closed search so we won't be hearing any names until the decision has been made. I highly doubt that anyone within the athletic department gets promoted for the job.

From others I spoke to at the caravan, it seems CK became rather burnt out the past year with the Jans incident and Babers leaving. He ended up having to contact recruits in both sports to keep commitments and the entire process was rather tiresome. He ended up taking less salary with Learfield in exchange for more stability and less travel.

Interesting. Has worked in similar profile universities, has worked in athletics for a while including fundraising and associate AD, and to cap it all, he is a Bowling Green alum. I look forward to his introductory press conference.

Bob is a BG grad and former student-athlete. I really like that...we needed someone who understands the MAC and BGSU's challenges. Welcome back to the nest Bob and best of luck!!

Watched the presser...good stuff. Bob seemed very excited to be back at BG. And, Dr Mazey alluded to his fundraising skills a few times. He had a great run at SDSU and I think we hit another home run.
