Scouts always hand time everyone.... they want "their" info. Doesn't mean it's accurate. Gil Brandt allegedly hand timed Kirk Gibson at sub 4.0 in the 40. Do you believe that too? The only people I heard bitching about the 40 times were the guys who ran them...and they were mad that they ran so slowly.
The point is...if you measure everyone using the same flawed tech...everyone should suffer. If you're slower than the average for your group, you'll be slower if your hand timed or electronically timed or timed having your aunt count 1 Mississippi..2 Mississippi...

You did not read what I said. The point is you were wrong. The scouts were saying it was off. Seriously dude you can't admit you f'd up. I quit talking with you is pointless. .
Re: Roger Lewis goes undrafted
There is no way a single shot publicly said that on record and it didn't make a story on a single mainstream outlet. I've bit heard a single blurb not found one on the web. Literally the only thing I've found is the one article you linked and a handful of tweets, etc referencing that same flawed video.gspointer wrote:Flipper wrote:Scouts always hand time everyone.... they want "their" info. At this point I don't even care about the discussion anymore but the irony of you saying others are commenting without vetting them out makes it hard for me to bite my tongue.
Unless you're claiming to speak with scouts yourself and they told you this, in which case that's good info but still far from an accepted discrepancy you declared it. And obviously not publicly announced either.
Re: Roger Lewis goes undrafted
This is the same poster who went out of his way numerous times to state Greene should be backing up Coppet and even Givins for 2 plus seasons. That's no knock on either of those guys by the way.
I don't get into this stuff much but I doubted Lewis would be drafted. Seen a lot of talented BG skill players never sniff a down in the NFL. Pope and Steve Sanders had their 5 minutes in the league. I have said it several times but he was shut down the day he went up against a legit corner in the Tennessee game. He had a good catch on the first drive and a screen pass late in the game. Small sample size as that is the only very talented team we played but I remember sitting the stands being surprised that he was shut down. Of course that allowed Dieter to school their other corner. Alabama must have noticed

That is why my scout friends found this so amusing. Lord Brainy of BS. I told you all speed was never the issue and if you watched any of the giants games he got open but had some drops. BTW one of them commented you must not be married as you have not learned to admit when you are wrong lol...

Um...don't know who the hell you are or what your problem is...but I was 100% right on everything I said. I hope Lewis has a nice NFL career..he's off to a good start by making a roster. If he sticks out the season he'll have beaten very long odds.
SO far as my being married...you'll have to ask my wife...dipshit

"Was 100% right on everything I said. That says it all - you have way too high of an opinion of yourself. My scout buds think you are hilarious. You ain't all that. You said he was a 4.5 plus guy even though you did not even attend the pro day and you blew crap about what i said about how the times were off even though more than one paper reported it and I knew two scouts who were there. Rather that just say someone is wrong perhaps you should think that perhaps you do not know it all. THAT is my problem!
