BG/UALR Predictions

Post by BGSU33 »

I'm usually not a big fan of stepping out of MAC action late in the season, but since we've managed to claw our way to the top of the MAC West, I don't mind this upcoming game as much with UALR. Although winning the MAC title and championship is our most important goal, I also think every game the rest of the season has some sort of post-season implications riding on it. Since we know we'll have to win the MAC Tournament to get to the NCAAs, all of these remaining games also carry a little NIT weight on them as well. If we were to fall short of the NCAA Tournament – and as past history suggests that very well could happen – we still could play in the postseason with a strong finish. I would LOVE to finally see BG in the NCAA Tournament as all of you would as well. But I would also like to see us in the NIT if our hopes are dashed yet again. It's one game at a time, and the next one is UALR who is having a pretty nice season itself.

Just win....and win 20 games!

I'll say BG 75, UALR 67. I know nothing about them this season.

UALR vs WKU last night netted two of SportCetner's top 10 plays. UALR won a close one by two points. I think that just one day of rest hurts then bed. BG 79, UALR 62

Any more word on their coaching situation? The word from the league office on Tues/Weds said "we need a couple more days" to review things.... Which sounded to me like they wanted to get to the OOC game to slap him on the wrist. It sounds like nothing happened as bad as originally reported with hitting/grabbing a fan and all, but if there was any confrontation at all, that might be enough for them to sit him for a game.

If Dakich does anything, it's come over and punch me in the face for an email I sent him after dissing the BG News. Then he will appologize to me and thank me for my work on the sports page today!
