Isn't there a 10 second rule or is that only in the NBA?? That was really why we started the counting...

If students are getting into players heads by not swearing, and not making stupid cheers, then more power to them, and I hope it only gets worse for them, and better for us.

there's a rule, but i'm not sure how long it is. but either way, once everyone caught on that guy couldn't hit a free throw to save his life.

the a-hole chant at number 11 may have been a bit classless, but atleast it got the students into the game. make the "beat miami" page in the BG news happen. it will go great with the "who's he?" chant.

I just looked up the free throw rule.

Under Rule 8, Section 3 of the NCAA 2004 Basketball Rule Book, the following is stated...

10-Second Limit
Art. 1. The try for goal shall be attempted within 10 seconds after the ball
has been placed at the disposal of the free-thrower at the free-throw line.

So when we kept getting to 13 counting at a legitimate tempo, he should have been called!!! That's some crap!!!!

The referee does his own count, and I think the crowd was just a little bit faster than the official.

I like it a lot. But if you could speed it up a little, it could be better. Maybe start at one end of the floor and head to the other as you spell so you don't have to wait for each group to get out of the way before jumping down for the next letter.

Actually the refs weren't even moving their arms like they are supposed to do to count. If I was getting to 10 I wouldn't complain because we could have been a little fast. But 13 is cutting it...

I saw the ref right in front of you guys doing a count. He was pumping his left hand into a fist. Not the extending arm motion you get when trying to move into the front court in under 10 seconds or when they do the defensive five second count, but he was counting.

Love watching this team play! Good, solid win against a quality team with an RPI higher than ours! UALR is a very athletic team and we were able to hold them off. GREAT, rowdy crowd.

Metz, you and the AA's rock the place. SS just stands there not doing a whole lot. SS needs to take some cues from the Animals!

For the first time in a while, I sat on the side opposite of the students to get a different feel for the game. AA can get so loud, I love the place.

Almanson and Reimold should both be All MAC 1st team...we all know that.

BEAT NIU!! Gotta keep a hold of first place. Thur, UT travels to Ball State. Sat, WMU is @EMU and UT hosts CMU. Sunday, we have Miami at AA & NIU hosts Ball State.

GO FALCONS!!!
