TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- On the eve of a potential shift in the ACC's scheduling, Florida State Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher advocated for uniform schedules across the Power 5 leagues and a college football commissioner.
"I'd like to play for a championship where everyone has the same rules," he said. "... You don't think we need a commissioner and a set of rules to make things even? We're the only sport in America that doesn't have the same set of rules for everybody that plays."
WAAAAAAAAAH. Try being a "non power" conf team...talk about BS.

Scheduling uniformity will likely happen once the Big 12 settles on their two expansion schools, it unfortunately for the mid-majors makes too much sense to do so otherwise. I could see every conference moving to a 9-game conference slate while scheduling one G5 school to open the season. Going to end up really hurting the little guys in the end who will need the paychecks to keep their programs and athletic departments from drowning too much.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Jimbo is in the business of competing for National Championships...he has every right to look for a system that encourages fairness. Those guys don't even consider the MAC in comments like his....we are so irrelevant he doesn't even bother with us. We are a Tuesday night sideshow in November.

Encourages fairness?? That is laughable. Fair would be a playoff system like EVERY other level of college football...settled on the field and every school has a shot. Apollo, you seem pretty negative about our football program. Why bother to follow BG?

Freak...no question there should be a 16 team tourney that includes every conference champion...not going to happen because the P5 want make sure the money stays with them.
My point is that those schools don't even consider the MAC as truly FBS. They simply look at us as a possible easy win. When is the last time a MAC school has upset a top 10 program? People get excited when we beat 3-4 win BIG10 teams, but there hasn't been a win against a legit power in a very long time.

I think that scheduling balance will be exactly where this heads and it will really hurt teams like BG. As if it's even possible to hurt them much more than they already are.
We need to schedule at least 2, if not 3, road games at P5 teams to even come close to balancing the budget. College football has gotten way too expensive to create even a mediocre program.
