It's not that they don't "honor their commitment"...more likely they didn't pass a summer class or the NCAA didn't clear them to be eligible..or they look at the depth chart in camp and realize there's not much likelihood of playing or they meet a girl who's wife material and she goes somewhere else or they just get fricking tired of two a days and coaches yelling at them...who knows? They're kids...kids do all kinds of s**t that mystifies adults. I know I sure did.
We're going to play...we'll win some lose some and I will at some point eat a Myles' pizza...unless they close. f**k me if that happens

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

JP, I can't agree with you more. I felt Jinks was going to need to bandaid the problem and felt he put us in a better position but it's a big disappointment to find what we were hoping for just isn't there. College football is all I can say. If babers stayed Boone really knows if gerhig would have stayed but with babers leaving it really cemented from reloading to rebuilding.

That's life being a mid-major. Being able to win conference titles with two different coaches though is a testament to the quality of talent the program was able to recruit. Babers was able to reach tap into that potential with his system. Like I said, I hope Jinks is around here long enough to really build a solid program that can be sustained if he happens to leave. That's something Clawson was dead-set on doing and it paid off in spades. Jinks and his staff seem to be able to recruit from non-traditional MAC areas (Texas, Alabama) which speaks to how the recent success of BG football has grown brand recognition nationwide. Give him a full season and I don't think the program will be too far off from where it was.Tech2000 wrote:JP, I can't agree with you more. The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
