Why Wednesday? He made the final 53 man roster. Today was final cuts.

I'm pretty sure you have to stick til Wednesday to make your single season salary kick in. Lotsa waiver activity these first days. Roster has to be to 53 today but most teams are not done tinkering with the bottom of the roster.

Good for him though. I thought that was a great situation for him to have a shot and he has made the most of it.
