Re: J5 on Urban
I remember reading an interview with Urban lately where he spoke fondly of his time at BG. I think that we all miss those days.
Re: J5 on Urban
We sure do! Part of the fun of those two years, as Urban has pointed out, is that there were no expectations of the program. I was a Senior during his first year as a coach, and that 2001 season was a blast. I hadn't gone to more than a couple of games before that season, but he got the campus excited about football again. I went to the Northwestern game (what a game!) and the following week when we destroyed Toledo. I also remember that he sent out a campus-wide email to all students before the Miami game that year to get students there.
I don't remember what the email said, but I'll never forget how he ended it. "See you on the field after the game". Those were definitely some fun years.

One vote (and it might be the only one) for Clawson, Babers and their championships over riding Harris and other Blackney players for a year and a half.Firelands-Falcon wrote:I remember reading an interview with Urban lately where he spoke fondly of his time at BG.
