BG vs MTSU thread
Re: BG vs MTSU thread
#2 Florida State losing 63-10. Wow
Re: BG vs MTSU thread
Team played with good effort. They were not put in a good position to win between some suspect play calling and an ineffective QB. This one is one the coaches.
Lots to fix in order to win the east again. The east is wide open and this team has plenty of room for improvement. Now the strategy and QB play has to improve.

I give up....it was sewn on! In colored turf! Got it??!!gmartin wrote:So are the numbers, the lines, and the midfield logo sewn on. Because when the turf was installed it was just Green Turf with different shades every 5 yards. How can you magically make the midfield logo appear. It wasn't on the field when the turf was initially installed.
GO BG!!!

Re: BG vs MTSU thread
We'll the bottom line is that Knapke is a Trainwreck at QB, and we're going nowhere this season with him. It's possible that we may not go anywhere with Morgan either, but at this point we have nothing to lose by trying him. Give him next week's game to get experience and try to get up to speed before the MAC opener vs EMU. Hopefully we'll win that day and he'll build confidence going into the big games vs Ohio, Toledo, and Miami.
If we stay on the current course, not only are we doomed, I'm not going to make the trips to these October games as scheduled. It'd be pointless and a waste of time. Soooooo glad I didn't make the trip to sit in the rain and watch Knapke basically lose the game for us.

At this point I hope not. He needs to be preparing for his start at Memphis.bgdodgeball4 wrote:Does Morgan see the field now?

FCS North Dakota State upset #13 Iowa
Game winning FG into wind as time expires.
As Colin Coward says .............. Iowa is the underage college kid that wants in the club with a fake ID, in reference to the non-league scheduling over the last 10 years.
They make no effort to play any of the big boys and then get beat by a FCS team......... over rated at #13 anyway. Wont be ranked anymore.

Why is Knapke still playing?

Not sure I can swallow going to another game with Knapke as the QB. Either play Morgan or I'll observe from home.

Re: BG vs MTSU thread
Could we really give up 500 points this season?
On a positive
Though giving up 41 points we were able to lower our points per game allowed.

Re: BG vs MTSU thread
Much better effort this week. Biggest problem with this team is QB play. Knapke just is not getting it done. He rarely looked the part today.
It's time for Morgan. Even if Knapke is "ahead" at this point, Morgan has barely been given the chance. Knapke is clearly not able to unleash this offense to its full potential. He probably would do very well in the old Clawson offense but not here. Three weeks, I've seen enough.
As for Morgan, we don't know how he will look against pressure - will he step it up? We will never know if he's holding the clipboard. He's got so much potential and it's time to give Morgan a chance and see what he can do.

Disagree. It's easy to complain about coaching when the team is losing. This wasn't about play calling.MarkL wrote: This one is one the coaches.
I was surprised to see Knapke stay in the game once it was out of hand. Perhaps that was for the best. I don't think there will be much controversy if Jinks decides to start Morgan at Memphis.
Re: BG vs MTSU thread
Off subject, I understand Toledo vs Fresno is on Ch 11 in NW Ohio and not SEC game #1 Alabama vs Ole Miss. Can't even get the Alabama game at local bars on Directv. Pretty crappy of Ch 11 to do that.
