I can't find much information about the Perani Cup... someone further my knowledge - I know it's something good to get... but how does one get it? etc etc etc.... :)

It's an accumulation of how many "stars of the game" you get. It was mentioned here somewhere, but you get (I think) 5 points for being the first star, 3 for second star, and one for third star, then your points are added up and ranked against everyone else in the nation.
Most points wins.

I could very well be mistaken (and usually am), but I believe this is a CCHA award, not NCAA. That doesn't diminish its significance by any means, but just to be fair...
