Great seeing so many Falcons listed on the preseason teams as well!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

No excuses this year, everyone believes that BG has the horses to finally win the league crown and get back to the NCAA tournament. Here's to hoping that's indeed the case.

Everything is coming together for the 50th anniversary of the Ice Arena. The facility has never looked better, a new video board being installed, and a team that has been picked to take the league. As long as they keep their heads in the game this could be a season the likes of which we haven't seen in quite a while.

BTW, did anyone notice the comment by Coach B about the possibility of playing Michigan State next year in the Q&A? My guess would be a home and home like we always did in the CCHA. That is a great non-league series to land and w/o the 2 for 1 BS that some in that league have been trying to bargain for. I hope it comes to pass.

I've personally heard from coach that Michigan State has agreed to a home and home series against us, though no date has been set. To my understanding, Michigan still demands a 2 for 1.

Pretty much how Bergeron feels about it too. He WILL NOT play them a 2 for 1. It's either equal or forget it.

Last season was a head problem. A consistent effort every night and BG would have ran away with the league, and been very deep in the NCAA's. There were very few teams that could actually skate with them for more than half a period. If that's been fixed, it will be a very good season. If it lingers, it's going to be a long, frustrating one.
